I'm going to be offering a "home cooked meals" type menu for take out, everything made fresh that day and ready to be served during the commute home from work. I'm going to offer 2 soups, 4 entrees, 4 sides and some simple desserts. The meals are all popular foods, foods costs per item are low to reasonable. My question is this: does it make sense to change this menu up every few weeks, keeping maybe one or two of the most popular items on from week to week? Or would it make more sense to have a set menu and just change out the specials from week to week? I'm thinking that I will have a good base of repeat business and it might be better to offer people something different each week rather than the same old menu items, plus a couple of specials. But then, changing it each week might make it more confusing in terms of controlling costs, inventory, etc and disappointing to regulars who hope to find their favorites each week. What is your opinion? Thank you! Cathy

I agree that less is more. I get overwhelmed when I go into a restaurant and there are too many choices. I feel like I have to rush to make a decision.
